Due to the recent heavy rain fall occured for 2 days during 4th-6th Aug'2006, Yanam region has been affected badly by the Gowthami Godavari River. Hon'ble Minister for Tourism and LAD, Shri Malladi Krishna Rao inspected all places affected by the flood and announced 20 Kgs free rice for all Ration Card Holders.
